He graduated from the Department of Business Administration of the Turkish Military Academy. He earned an MBA from the Middle East Technical University, Department of Business Administration and an MS from the Naval Postgraduate School of the USA. He completed his doctorate at Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Business Administration.

He served as KOSGEB President, Prime Minister's Chief Advisor and Member of Parliament. He still leads the Turkish Grameen Microfinance Program, which provides microcredit for the poor, as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Turkish Waste Prevention Foundation, of which he is the founder. He has published 17 books and numerous articles on Business, Operations Research, Statistics, Defense Industry and Happytalism.

He studied Economics in Dartmouth College and got his doctorate degree from University of California, Berkeley. He worked at Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences between 1972-1982. He worked in various fields -international trade, agricultural products, national resources and environmental problems- in United Nations Trade and Development Conference and retired from Emtia Department in 2006. Currently he is a professor of International Relations at Galatasaray University. Simultaneously, he contributes to the development work of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkish Republic and United Nations. He has been assigned as the scientific issues coordinator of Turkey for UN 4th Least Developed Countries Conference. His areas of interest include development process in globalized world and governance of globalization, relations among and duties of international organizations, private sector, and civic sector in this regard, international trade and features of international markets, positioning of companies of developing countries in international value chain, management of environment and natural resources.

Until 1994, he served as the general manager, chair of the board of directors or the founder of various industrial and financial institutions and commercial banks inside and outside Turkey. After 1994, he has been involved in education and civil society activities inside and outside the country and has been in their management. He is among the founders of Enka Schools and Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG). He still undertakes voluntary responsibilities such as a member of the board of directors, member of the board of trustees, member of the supervisory board in many associations and foundations, and also serves as a member of the board of directors in various industrial companies. He is one of the founders of the Sen De Gel association and is currently the chair of the association's board of directors.

Upon graduating from Üsküdar American High School, he studied Management and Philosophy in Bucknell University. He worked as an investment specialist in Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse for 6 years. He worked as a consultant in Merger and Acquisition and Corporate Strategy Departments in New York, London and İstanbul offices of these investment banks. Finally, he worked in corporate strategy department of Borusan Holding in Turkey. Currently, he is a board member at SEN DE GEL and working at Koruncuk Foundation. Additionally, he gives abstract thinking workshops on Sufizm and Existential Philosophy since 2012. Derya Sel Bozkurt She was born in Ankara in 1982. After TED Ankara College, she studied Computer Engineering at Bilkent University and got her MA degree from Department of Industrial Engineering at METU. She has been working as consultant and project manager in various technology companies for more than 10 years. She was a volunteer, member of board of trustees, and member of board of directors at Community Volunteers Foundation. She is one of the founding members of SEN DE GEL. She is married with one child.

She was born in Ankara in 1982. After TED Ankara College, she studied Computer Engineering at Bilkent University and got her MA degree from Department of Industrial Engineering at METU. She has been working as consultant and project manager in various technology companies for more than 10 years. She was a volunteer, member of board of trustees, and member of board of directors at Community Volunteers Foundation. She is one of the founding members of SEN DE GEL. She is married and has two children.

She graduated from Boğaziçi University Department of Sociology in 1997. She took part in many projects on reputation management during her work in marketing communications and brand management departments of respected organizations of Turkey. She has 18 years of experience in marketing communications and brand management. In 2008, she cocreated a social responsibility project with Mother Child Education Foundation for the international finance organization that she was working at. Within this project to support preschool education in disadvantaged regions of İstanbul, she also organized volunteers. That is how she started volunteering in many projects on a personal level. When she was trying to discover what she can do towards social and economic development, she met İbrahim Betil in 2011 and became a founding board member of SEN DE GEL. She is still working as a communications and brand consultant.

Born in Erzurum, Kaddafi Bozkurt completed his primary, secondary and high school education in İzmir. After graduating from Bilkent University, Department of Mathematics in 2004, he started his career in the banking sector in the Corporate Marketing Department. He worked as a business analyst and team leader at IBTECH A.Ş. between 2008-2015. After serving as the Business Development and Strategy Department Manager and Assistant General Manager at Kendial Finansman A.Ş. in 2016-2019, he has been managing the QNB Finansbank Customer Experience Office since 2019.

He started volunteering in non-governmental organizations during his university years, and was the coordinator of Bilkent University Social Awareness Projects during the establishment phase. Being a founding committee member of the Community Volunteers Foundation, Bozkurt continued to be the co-chairman of the Community Volunteers Foundation between 2017-2021.

He graduated from İstanbul University Faculty of Communications in 1992. He worked as an assistant in İstanbul University Management Faculty between 1994-1996. Between 1996-2000 he worked at a private educational consulting firm. Between 2000-2003 he worked as an assistant in Bilgi University Management Faculty. Between 1995-2010 he became one of the founders and members of board of Community Volunteers Foundation and ÇEKÜL Foundation. He has been working as a partner of Webdenal.com since 2005.

After Ege University Mechanical Engineering Department, he studied Management Sciences at Baruch College, NY and International Management and Marketing at Bahçeşehir University. He is the president of Armaggan A.Ş. (www.armaggan.com) and NAR Doğal Ürünler A.Ş. (www.nargourmet.com); and board member at BoraJet Airlines. He is on the Board of Trustees at Community Volunteers Foundation, and member of board at Turkish Coalition of America Turkey Branch (www.turkishcoalition.org) and Friends of Kitchen Association.

She was born in İstanbul in 1960. She completed her primary and secondary education in Austria Trade High School and studied Management at Vienna University of Economics. In 2010, she wrote her second master thesis in Bilgi University Institute of European Union. She worked as at credit marketing at Tekstilbank and as Congress and Seminars Manager at Otari Tours. Currently, she is a member of board at Topkapı Industry A.S. As she thinks that empowering women and youth is the biggest investment to the future, she is a member of board of trustees at Community Volunteers Foundation, a member of board at Austrian High School Alumni Association, a member of ALD Women’s Platform, a member of KAGİDER. She speaks German, English, and French. She is married with two children.

She was born in 1984 in Karadeniz Ereğli, attended Bursa Anatolian High School, and studied Law at Ankara University. Currently, she is working as a registered lawyer at a private law firm in İstanbul. She is taking active role in civic projects related to youth, human rights, people with hearing disabilities, and reproductive health in many CSOs as well as Community Volunteers Foundation.

Yasemin Vargı Emirdağ is a board member at MV Holding. She also served at several NGO boards including TED Istanbul College, Contemporary Istanbul Young Advisory Council as well as Mind Your Waste Foundation, an organization founded in 2015 to create a clean and sustainable world by promoting behavioral change in society.

Having started her career as an Art Director, Yasemin has curated several art projects for hotel and office spaces over the years, promoting social awareness through art. In addition, she has been the Chief Editor of ArtSpeak.NYC, a digital platform on the Contemporary Art in New York.

Mrs. Emirdağ received her BS in Communications at University of Miami in 2008 and also holds a masters degree in Modern and Contemporary Art from Christie’s in London.

Born in Istanbul in 1973, Senem Gürün graduated from Galatasaray High School and later Georgetown University. She ran her own pastry business for many years and is currently freelancing. She has been a volunteer at the Community Volunteers Foundation for 20 years and is also a current member of the board of directors. She is married and a mother of two daughters.

She is a Business Administration graduate from Istanbul University. She worked at Deloitte Independent Audit, Garanti Bank, Eksonser Foreign Trade and Teachers Academy Foundation. She is currently working as a certified public accountant at Stantec Engineering Company.

Born in 1967, Sivas, Sema Sezer graduated from Vefa Poyraz High School. She has been actively involved in various non-governmental organizations for many years, has worked voluntarily at different times in the Haseki Women's Foundation, Ladies' Science and Culture Association and Hazar Education, Culture and Solidarity Association, and served as a board member. She has three children and two grandchildren.

He was born in 1989 in Istanbul. After graduating from Koç High School, he graduated from Koç University Electronics Engineering and completed his master's degree in Industrial Management at Purdue University in the USA. He is interested in family business and has investments in the field of Solar Energy. Akşehirlioğlu, who maintains his relations with civil society, is also a member of Ashoka ASN. In addition, he continues his postgraduate studies in the field of Sufism at Üsküdar University.

He was born in 1968 in Kayseri. He completed his primary and secondary education at TED Kayseri College. Graduated from Hacettepe University, English Linguistics. After working in the field of free trade for many years, he switched to corporate life and has been working as a senior manager at Nef for 10 years. He is also a board member of the Sen De Gel Association.

In his 19 years of professional life, he worked in sales and marketing departments of construction, tourism, medicine and chemistry sectors. He founded Hardura Insurance in 2007. He graduated from Anadolu University Department of Management and earned his MA degree from Selçuk University Management and Organization Sciences.

Born in 1975, Ağrı, Dara Aslan graduated from Aziziye High School. He is a professional parachutist registered in the Turkish Parachute Federation since 2010. He is actively involved in the management of non-governmental organizations such as The Spinal Cord Paralytics Association of Turkey and the Association of Friends of Africa. He is married and has two daughters.

After graduating from Adana Tufanbeyli High School in 1985, he graduated from Marmara University's Department of International Relations in English in 1990. He started his business life in Transtren, which carried out international railway transportation activities in 1990-1991. In 1991-1992, he fulfilled his military obligation as a reserve officer in the Information Collection and Publishing Department of the Turkish Military Academy. He joined Arkas Holding in 1992 and worked in the maritime, highway, forwarding, logistics and railway departments, respectively. He undertook strategic tasks such as the establishment of the holding's railway network with railway terminals in different regions, the implementation of cabotage transports between Turkish ports by container ships, and the structuring of Arkas Logistics in the CIS countries. He has played a role in the development of special transportation equipment such as a generator trailer for hanging containers, reefer containers, transportation of bulk cargo with inner liner bag, flexitank and coiltainer. Since 2017, he has been serving as a member of the board of directors and general manager of STILL Arser, a partnership of the same holding with the German STILL GmbH, a material handling and warehouse equipment manufacturer.

In addition to being a board member of ISDER, the Association of Stacking Machinery Distributors and Manufacturers, he also teaches part-time Logistics in International Trade at the university.

Mustafa Çiper is fluent in English. He is married and has two children.

She has continued her career in the private sector since graduating from Bilkent Industrial Engineering in 2011. For nearly 15 years, she has provided consultancy and team leadership in digital transformation and e-commerce for many corporate firms in Turkey and abroad. Alongside her corporate career, she has worked as a project manager at Sabancı Volunteers, program coordinator at Değiştiren Adımlar Association, and founding member of Açık Açık Association. While continuing her volunteer activities with Sen de Gel, she continues to provide consultancy in e-commerce abroad.

In 2006, he became acquainted with civil society and volunteer work at the Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG). Between 2006-2011, he assumed responsibilities as a volunteer, trainer and Board Member in non-governmental organizations such as TOG, National Youth Parliament, Youth Assembly and Deniz Temiz Turmepa Association.

After graduating from Kırıkkale University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2011, he worked as Training Coordinator between 2011-2015, Resource and Business Development Coordinator between 2015-2019, and Field Department Manager between 2019-2020 under the roof of TOG. He is currently the Director of Volunteer Studies at the foundation.

Mehmet Bahadır, who has been on the Board of Auditors of our association since 2018, believes that the ideals of a society living together in good life, solidarity and prosperity will be achieved through volunteer work and the energy of the youth.

When she was managing fashion brands for more than 20 years, she was following NGO’s and wanted to support one. Then she met İbrahim Betil during the establishment of the association, decided to join SEN DE GEL, and becomes a member of board of auditors. “I saw that we can touch the lives of people living in far away places, even with very small amounts. Join SEN DE GEL for a better world.”

He is one of the 5 children of a family who immigrated from the former Yugoslavia in 1959 with forced migration. He graduated from Anadolu University Open Education Department in 2020. He worked at Mercedes-Benz, MUDO, Pizza House, King Paolo-Ersoysan Ayakkabı, SOHİC-Sezgin Group and has been working as an Accounting Specialist at Branditbeyond Production Company for the last 8 years.

After completing his undergraduate studies in Financial Mathematics at Istanbul Bilgi University, he started to work as an Auditor in an international independent audit firm. He is still working as an advisor in an international company after his MBA education at Bahçeşehir University. He volunteered at the Community Volunteers Foundation during his university years, then he was a member of the board of directors and board of trustees. He is a member of the Supervisory Board of Sen De Gel since its inception. In addition, he has been a member of founding membership, board of directors and board of auditors in various non-governmental organizations working in different fields. He speaks English and German. He is married and has two children.

She worked as a sales representative at Nur Yapı in 2012. In 2013, she worked as an assistant general manager at CTG Planet TEK. In July 2013, she started working as an assistant to Ibrahim Betil at Yeniçağ Danışmanlık. In addition to this task, she is the Deputy General Manager and General Secretary at Sen De Gel Association. She continues to take part in the volunteer activities of many civil society organizations.

After graduating from the Faculty of Communication, Marmara University, she worked in various commercial organizations in Turkey and undertook managerial duties. Until 2014, she continued her volunteer activities in many civil society organizations. As of January 2014, she went to Africa with the coordination of sustainable development studies carried out by Sen De Gel Association in the least developed countries. She is currently working as the general coordinator of Sen De Gel Association.
